In November 2002, I set up a trust namely known as Jannat Welfare Trust International. The objective of having this trust is to coordinate all fundraising activities in a systematic manner, not only here in the United Kingdom but also on an international level.

AREAS THAT JANNAT WELFARE SHALL BE ADDRESSING:

  • To establish developments centres for poor women in Pakistan.
  • To open schools for blind children in rural and urban areas in Pakistan.
  • To provide financial support to those organisations and institutions which are working with the aims and objects of the trust, on an international level.
  • To work for any object determined by organisations in the United Kingdom and on an international level.

I pray this worthy mission is successful, and all those who support this find peace, happiness and blessings.

Aagrah’s 28th Annual charity business dinner theme will no doubt set the scene for inspiration and recognise Yorkshire as a  premiere business and tourist destination. The event will provide an ideal opportunity for networking with Corporate and Independent well established business leaders with motivational speakers at the prestigious business dinner being held the Aagrah Midpoint Suite venue. The Charity Dinner started 28 years ago in memory of Sajid Sabir, son of Aagrah Group Chairman Mohammed Sabir MBE, whose loss we still feel deeply today.  Yorkshire, a booming business destination and one of the most breath taking scenic Shire counties in the UK has many company headquarters based in this idyllic region. With easy travel access from all corners of the world, it has rapidly become a premiere international business & tourism destination. Often referred to as the business capital of the North, Yorkshire offers diverse business opportunities in finance, hospitality, retail, manufacturing professional and tourism and a greater return for investors on their investment. A cosmopolitan city, some of Yorkshire’s professionals and other workforce are a great asset for a business to explore new initiatives and to attract new target markets.
Yorkshire businesses make a huge contribution to UK PLC and the theme for our annual dinner this year is an acknowledgement of the entrepreneur’s achievements in the business arena. Yorkshire has the ‘Fastest forecast rate of economic growth - With a forecast 64% increase in Gross Value Added (GVA) over the next 10 years and a 28% growth in jobs. Yorkshire has the largest concentration of food and drink businesses in the UK, which contribute £2.7bn to the regional economy.  It also has vast number of manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and chain stores all adding to the regional economy.   The above outline just some of the reasons why Yorkshire is a World class business and tourism destination. If you would like to get involved with the event please see details below for sponsorship and table bookings. This year’s nominated beneficiary charity is The Prince’s Trust.  The Prince's Trust helps change young lives across Yorkshire. It gives practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills such as confidence and motivation.  The Trust works with 14- to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. Since the charity was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1976, it has helped over 600,000 young people across the UK and continues to support 100 more every working day.  Jannat Welfare International Trust, Aagrah’s charitable trust was set up to coordinate all fundraising activities to provide much needed funds for local and international charities. I am happy to tell you that with the help from our generous supporters we have raised more than £1.2 million to date, which has been used to make a real difference to many peoples lives.   The dinner also plays host to South Asian Chef Competition (SACC) an awards ceremony for the winners of the hotly-contested annual chef awards,  a prestigious national competition open to professional chefs from all culinary and cultural backgrounds.  On behalf of Aagrah, I would to take this opportunity to thank you for your valuable support over the years and I look forward to welcoming you all.

Yours Sincerely
