Yorkshire based Aagrah Restaurant Group 36th Aagrah Annual Business Dinner celebrated Yorkshire Power Leaders and some of the most elite businesses in Yorkshire. The event was supported by Welcome to Yorkshire and Bradford and Leeds City Councils
Around 600 influential business guests including many CEO’s, Managing Directors and other key decision makers attending the hot ticket glamorous event which raised £125,000.
The prestigious black-tie dinner focuses on a current business topic with this year’s theme of
Yorkshire Power Leaders incorporating Elite Yorkshire Business Awards 2018.
Yorkshire has some of the largest and most successful companies and Power Leaders with their head office base in this part of the country.
Regional, national and global brands turned out in force to one of the biggest business event of its kind. The dinner is widely acknowledged as the platform to be seen for great business connections.
Keynote speaker Michael Carr of JCT600 Brooklands gave an engaging speech, from its humble beginnings to the remarkable success of the JCT600 brand of the independent family business.
Entertainment was provided international stars The Ayuob Sisters, duo violists and the Angel Dancers group based in London who delivered a spectacular and glittering performance with their troupe of dancers.
Guests were treated to a lavish 5 course Aagrah banquet which included a theatrical whole leg of lamb per table, gently cooked to perfection with rave reviews by guests.
Aagrah’s Managing Director Mohammed Aslam MBE said “it’s great to see so many people here, we are truly grateful to everyone for their support in particular and our lead partners, Cobra, Kingfisher, LWC, Pepsi, Tilda, Bradford & Leeds City cOuncils without whom this would not be possible”.
Aagrah is UK’s largest Kashmiri restaurant with 13 including The Midpoint Conference and Banqueting suite branches employing 300 staff.
Aagrah also have a share of the home dining market with their popular Tarka Cooking sauces, available in Asda and Coop.
Aagrah’s fund raising is done through our charity wing, Jannat Welfare International Trust, in memory of Sajid Sabir, late son of Aagrah’s Chairman, Mohammed Sabir, MBE, Hons Dbs to benefit local, national and international charities. With generous support from our sponsors and supporters, in particular, Cobra, Kingfisher, LWC, Pepsi, Tilda raising over £2.1 million to date, the money has transformed the lives of many and of all ages. This year’s main beneficiary charity is The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation, Leeds.
The Dinner also played host to the Elite Yorkshire Business Awards 2018.
