Leading Yorkshire businessman joins WalkTalkers…. Inspired and humbled by the courage and positive energy of Gill Hicks and many others post London’s 7/7, Mohammed Aslam, Managing Director of the Yorkshire based Aagrah Restaurant Group joined the many at the launch of Leeds to London 200 mile walk which began July 19th 2008 at Millennium Square Leeds. As a sponsor of WalkTalk 2008, Aagrah has always been a great supporter of community based projects particularly which promote empowering, harmony and positive collaboration. Walking side by side with people from all backgrounds helps to build bridges and stronger relationship. On Friday July 25th at 12.30pm the walk comes to Sheffield’s Mount Pleasant Park, Sharrow Lane, Mount Pleasant Road, Sheffield, where the first 100 registered walkers will be treated to a fabulous Kashmiri meal by Aagrah restaurant, Sheffield, based in Leopold Square. Across Aagrah’s 11 restaurants, our customers are truly cosmopolitan coming from many different communities and background. By being involved with the WALKTALK project, Aagrah would like to help promote a remarkable partnership of people coming together to make a difference through dialogue . Aagrah is no stranger when it comes to raising charity funds, under its charitable arm Jannat Welfare Trust International, set up in honour of the late Sajid, son of Aagrah’s Chairman Mohammed Sabir, MBE, we aim to help those who need our charitable support. In the 26 years the charity has been going we have raised more than £600,000 for local, national and international organisations.
